Dear Life
*Engaged
*New Job
*New Ward
*Moving
*New Family
*New Friends
*New Life Experiences
*New... Me.
I'm Very Pleased with the way my life is turning out. I've come to the realization and understanding that everything does happen for a reason, and I've never felt more strongly or grateful for this.
Sam and I met about 6 months ago on a blind date believe it or not. His sister in law lined us up, I worked with her at the hospital and it took her about 6 months to think to line me up with sam! what took her so long?? I'm not entirely sure!! But I am very glad she did!
Our first date was on July 6th and I was somewhat dreading it to be completely honest. Because all anyone could say about him is.. "He is SOOO quiet" So before our date I didn't put too much effort into getting ready cause I had just gotten off of work and I was tired and I didn't think it would take off or go anywhere. But as soon as I opened the door, saw his gorgeous face and cute little smile I immediately regretted that decision. ha ha I seriously knew right away there was something different about this fella. when I saw him standing on my porch that day, I had "pre-ventricular contractions" so you could say... I couldn't think, couldn't speak (shocker) and all I could do was giggle... I think the first words I said to him was... "sorry I look like poop" ha ha he probably thought i was retarded.
Our first date was a hike, and he Talked My Ear Off!! I couldnt get why Amy told me he was so quiet... We seriously hit it off right then and there and the rest was history. He stole my heart and he was the only person I wanted to be with, see, talk to, think about and talk about from there on out.
Sam is my better half and i'm not just saying that either. We are so much alike yet we are exact opposites if that is even possible. He is so logical and level headed. He grounds me when I get carried away with my crazy unrealistic ideas. He calms me when things aren't going just my way. He is the best listener, and gives the best advice. Some people may say he is shy and doesn't talk, but that's just because he doesn't like them.. JK its only because he doesn't open up to many.. but the second he does... watch out! He's a talker, and he's mine.
I know without a doubt in my mind that Sam and I are supposed to be together and we will be successful in our marriage and raising a family. Its gonna take work, and will be a change for the both of us but an amazing journey to learn and grow together. I'm excited to start our life together.. it'll be a wonderful ride.
I'm now employed at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray as a Surgeon's assistant... Love it. I see so many incredible things everyday that people would kill to see and do. I love working so closely with the doctors and building a bond with all of my co workers! If i could tell you about every surgery I do, I totally would. but... my little friend HIPPA prevents that. Sorry. So just take my word for it... My job Rocks.
My Life Rocks..

Interesting Tips
-Take your bananas apart when you get home from the store. If you leave them connected at the stem, they ripen faster.
-Peppers with 3 bumps on the bottom are sweeter and better for eating. Peppers with 4 bumps on the bottom are firmer and better for cooking.
-Add a teaspoon of water when frying ground beef. It will help pull the grease away from the meat while cooking.
-To really make scrambled eggs or omelets rich add a couple of Spoonfuls of sour cream, cream cheese, or heavy cream; then beat them.
-Heat leftover pizza in a nonstick skillet on top of the stove; set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No soggy micro pizza. I saw this on the food channel and it really works.
-To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins that were refrigerated, place them in a microwave next to a cup of water. The increased moisture will keep the food moist and help it reheat faster.
Start putting torn newspaper in your plants, work the nutrients in your soil. Wet newspapers put layers around the plants, overlapping as you go; cover with mulch and forget about weeds. Weeds will get through some gardening plastic; they will not get through wet newspapers.
Use a wet cotton ball or Q-tip to pick up the small shards of glass you can't see easily.
-To get something out of a heat register or under the fridge add an empty paper towel roll or empty gift wrap roll to your vacuum. It can be bent or flattened to get in narrow openings.
-Pin a small safety pin to the seam of your slip and you will not have a clingy skirt or dress. Same thing works with slacks that cling when wearing panty hose. Place pin in seam of slacks and ... Ta DA! ... Static is gone.
-Before you pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill with hot water. Dump out the hot water, but don't dry cup. Next, add your ingredient (peanut butter, honey, etc.) and watch how easily it comes right out.
-Hate foggy windshields? Buy a chalkboard eraser and keep it in the glove box of your car When the windows fog, rub with the eraser! Works better than a cloth!
-If you seal an envelope and then realize you forgot to include something inside. Just place your sealed envelope in the freezer for an hour or two. Viola! It unseals easily.
-Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It's cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It's also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn't like when you tried it in your hair.
-To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass, fill it 1/2 with Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dish washing liquid; mix well. You will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone forever!
Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it 'home,' can't digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works.
-If the heating unit goes out on your dryer, it may be from the lint filter, even it looks clean. Dryer sheets often cause a film to form over the mesh filter. To test, take the filter to the sink and run hot water over it. If the hot water just sits on top of the mesh, it is clogged and could burn out the heating unit and could potentially burn your house down. To avoid this, take the filter out and wash it with hot soapy water and an old toothbrush at least every six months. It increases the life of your dryer at least twice as long.
-If you get paint on your hands use a few tablespoons of gasoline, rub and then wash with soap. It works just like paint thinner.
-For stains like permanent marker on a counter or flat surface, use hairspray and a paper towel to remove.
-To prevent cookies from getting hard, put a slice of bread in with the batch in a rubbermaid container. The bread will keep cookies moist and delicious.
-For extra shiny hair, rinse with REALLY cold water at the end of your shower.
-Whip egg whites and a little sugar for a homemade hair gel that scrunches curls 10x better than the store-bought stuff.
-Never microwave rubbermaid plastic containers, it causes the sides to deteriorate and a stain to form around the edges.
-To remove white deodorant stains on clothing, put your hand inside a pair of panty hose then rub the area until clean. Works like magic!

Today
- Treat everyone as though they are going through an extremely difficult trial...most of the time, you will be right. - Craig Donaldson
This is so true. We never know what people are going through or what battles they may be fighting. Most people are pretty good at covering up their true feelings, so we might as well be extra kind. What's there to lose? - If you are afraid of failure, you don't deserve to be successful. - Charles Barkley
As a perfectionist, I'm really worried about failure. Sometimes I find myself wanting to try something but thinking, "What if I'm not good at it?" To this I tell myself, so what. I'd rather try something and look silly or be bad at it, then look back and wonder what if... - Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. Security is mostly superstition. It does not exist in nature. - Helen Keller
This is my new motto. I think life should be an adventure, even if that means finding creative ways to save money and pay the bills, or going on fun trips, or just making fun out of boring situations. I think anything can be fun with the right attitude.
